Oh Scrubs started on the floor of a nursing quarters in the Northern Territory — not exactly where you'd expect a fashion label to begin.

I'm Olivia, a registered nurse, and long before I was designing scrubs, I was just trying to find a pair I actually wanted to wear. Fashion has always been my hobby, but healthcare uniforms never got the memo. Every scrub set felt boxy, synthetic, and built as an afterthought — never designed specifically for women, and never in a print I'd choose for myself.

I remember watching my non-healthcare friends pick out their outfits every morning, genuinely excited about what they'd wear that day. Meanwhile, I was pulling on the same shapeless, scratchy set for another shift. I wanted that feeling too — just at work.

So while agency nursing in the NT, sketches drawn between shifts in the nursing quarters became Oh Scrubs: 100% cotton scrub sets, designed specifically for women, in prints and colours refined enough to feel like fashion — not just uniform.

Every piece is still designed by me, from my studio on the Gold Coast. The goal hasn't changed since that first sketch: I want every woman who wears Oh Scrubs to feel genuinely excited to get dressed for work — without compromising on quality, comfort, or her sense of style.
